Legal Risk Scanner respects the intellectual property of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512) we have designated an agent to receive notices of claimed infringement, registered with the United States Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.

Submitting a takedown notice

If you believe material on this Service (for example, content in a user-submitted email template or scan) infringes your copyright, send the agent a written notice including:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and enough information (such as the URL) for us to locate it.
3. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

On receipt of a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material promptly and notify the user who submitted it.

Counter-notice

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send the agent a counter-notice containing: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake; your name, address and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the US, any district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service from the person who filed the original notice; and your signature. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

Misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
